About

The Spartathlon retraces the legendary route attributed to the messenger Pheidippides, a 245 km road ultramarathon from Athens to Sparta, in Greece. Starting on 25 September 2027 and finishing on 26 September, the race covers a variety of roads, through both urban areas and natural landscapes.

For runners who extend their stay, the Acropolis of Athens, the Plaka district, the Athenian Riviera, the Temple of Apollo at Delphi and the Theatre of Epidaurus round off a visit to the region.
