About

The AthHalf Half Marathon & AthFest Educates 5K takes place in Athens, Georgia. The half marathon starts at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at Washington and Lumpkin Streets and runs through Athens' historic districts, downtown and the UGA campus. The 5K, held the day before, explores downtown and the Boulevard neighborhood, with a live band at the start and finish.

The race is produced by the nonprofit AthFest Educates, and proceeds fund music and arts education programs for local K-12 students. Packet pickup is on October 10 at the Classic Center Pavilion.
