Semi-Marathon d'Athènes

The Semi-Marathon d'Athènes, the Athens Half Marathon, takes place in the Greek capital on 7 March 2027. Its 14th edition drew around 25,000 participants and doubled as the Greek Half Marathon Championships. The 21.097 km course, with 186 m of elevation gain, crosses the historic centre of Athens without costing runners time, passing some 40 monuments including the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the Byzantine and Christian Museum, as well as the city centre's grand avenues.

A 5 km race is also offered for those who prefer a shorter distance, along with a Family Run for children. After the race, the Acropolis and its museum, the Pláka district, the Temple of Hephaestus in the Ancient Agora, Monastiráki market and the National Garden are all good ways to see more of the city.
