4. Data Sharing with Third Parties
RunRun does not sell your personal data. Your data may only be shared in the following cases:
4.1 Third-party services connected with your consent
Strava
- Exchange type: Importing your activities from Strava to RunRun (RunRun never writes to Strava)
- Data collected: your activities (date, distance, duration, pace, heart rate, cadence, elevation, shoes used) and, for a session you voluntarily link, the second-by-second detail (streams); your Strava profile (first name, last name, photo, city) to pre-fill your account
- Collection method: through the Strava API, after your explicit authorization (consent screen, then Strava OAuth): when you connect, then for each new activity Strava notifies us of (webhook), and when you link a session
- Purpose: showing your activities next to your sessions, calibrating your paces and tracking your training load.
- Retention: synchronised activities are kept while your Strava connection is active, and deleted within 30 days after you disconnect or revoke access from Strava
- Withdrawing consent: at any time from My account → Connections → Disconnect, or from Strava → Settings → My Apps
- Deletion: disconnecting deletes the Strava data from your RunRun account and you receive a confirmation e-mail. You can also request deletion through the support page
- Strava usage data: Strava may collect usage data about our use of its API (call volumes, etc.) and use it for its own purposes, in accordance with its privacy policy
- Applicable policy: for data originating from Strava, Strava's privacy policy prevails over this policy
Garmin Connect
- Exchange type: Sending training sessions from RunRun to Garmin Connect
- Data sent: Training plans, sessions (workouts) with interval details and target paces
- Data not collected: RunRun does not access your Garmin health data (sleep, stress, SpO2, etc.)
- Revocation: RunRun account settings or Garmin Connect connected apps
4.2 Technical Subcontractors
- Hosting: Hostinger (European Union) - website hosting
- Database: MongoDB Atlas (USA/EU) - data storage
- Analytics: Google Analytics - anonymized traffic statistics
These subcontractors are subject to contractual obligations of confidentiality and security compliant with GDPR.
5. Data Retention
- Account data: Retained while the account is active. Accounts inactive for 3 years (36 months) are automatically deleted, in accordance with CNIL recommendations. A warning email is sent 30 days before deletion
- Voluntary deletion: If the user requests account deletion, data is erased immediately
- Training data: Retained while the account is active, deleted together with the account
- Third-party access tokens: Retained until revoked by the user
- Strava activities: Retained while the Strava connection is active, deleted within 30 days after disconnecting from RunRun or revoking access from Strava (confirmation e-mail sent)
- Technical logs: Maximum 12 months
- Registration-opening alerts: Email address and race concerned, kept until the single email is sent (the day before registration opens), then erased within 30 days. Withdraw at any time via the "stop these alerts" link in the email or from the race page, no account needed
