Coke Classic is held in Sioux City, Iowa, on November 7, 2026. A kids' race opens at 10:15 a.m., then the 5K run/walk and the 10K both start at 10:25 a.m. Two adult distances off the same gun means you can decide late whether you want 3.1 miles or 6.2.

Sharing a start with a shorter race has one practical downside: the runners around you go out at 5K pace, so if you are in the 10K, let them go and run your own first mile. The 10K rewards eight weeks of consistent running with a long run around eight miles; the 5K needs less, four weeks of three runs a week with one faster session. The mid-morning start also means you can eat normally beforehand.
