About

The Wallowa Skyrace in Joseph is one of Oregon's most spectacular uphill races: a 4.2-mile (6.8 km) climb with 3,700 feet (1,128 m) of elevation gain, starting at 10 a.m. on June 25, 2027. Runners set off from the shore of Wallowa Lake and climb all the way to the summit of Mount Howard.

The ascent is tough, but the reward is unforgettable: a sweeping view over the Eagle Cap Wilderness and the surrounding peaks. Once at the top, runners can sit back and ride the scenic tramway back down, taking in the alpine scenery from above. It is a truly unique mountain running experience, and the number of spots is limited.
