About

The Zombie Dash 5K lights up downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan, on the evening of October 24, 2026. The 5K run or walk starts at 6:45 p.m., preceded by the Kids Trick or Treat Mile at 6 p.m., with packet pickup beforehand. Zombies wait in designated zones along the course, giving the Halloween-themed route its character.

Awards are handed out for overall performances and by age group, so experienced runners have something to race for, while anyone looking for a fun outing with family or friends can walk the same 3.1 miles. Evening races demand a bit of planning: eat your last real meal three or four hours out, keep the day itself easy on your legs, and bring a warm layer for the wait between finishing and heading home.
