The Hometown Half Marathon and 5K/10K in Grand Rapids, Michigan, takes place in late May and offers both in-person and virtual ways to take part. The half marathon (13.1 miles), 10K, 5K, 1-mile run and kids' dash all start at 7:00 a.m. Every participant receives a custom bib, a designer shirt and a finisher medal.

Chip timing, live results, pace leaders for the half marathon, free photos and finish-line treats are all part of the day. Children aged 10 and under have a special race with a shirt and medal in their size, and the 5K and 10K have youth pricing. Register before the listed deadline to be certain of getting a shirt. Late May in western Michigan is usually mild, though mornings can start cool.
