The Thatcher Markham Memorial Run, Presented by Aspirus Health, is a 5K (3.1 miles) run and non-competitive walk through Hancock and Houghton, Michigan, starting at 7:00 p.m. on June 11, 2027. It honors Thatcher Markham, a much-loved member of the community who lost his life in the 2018 Father's Day flood.

The route runs through downtown and across the Portage Lake Lift Bridge, on roads closed to traffic for safety. The event supports the Copper Country Junior Hockey Association and the Pigs 'N Heat Fund. Participants receive a T-shirt and professional chip timing, and can compete for awards.
