About

The Keweenaw Chain Drive Festival in Hancock now offers a Poker Run format for mountain bikers and trail runners on June 12, 2027, with short, long and adventure courses starting at 8:00 a.m. Runners can choose the Short Course (11.3 miles / 18.2 km, about 970 feet of climbing) or the Long Course (22.2 miles / 35.8 km, about 2,140 feet of climbing), while riders also have the Adventure Course (67.5 miles / 108.6 km, about 4,580 feet of climbing).

Participants collect poker chips at different points along the way to build their poker hand, and the best hand wins prizes. The event is self-supported, with temporary aid points, so participants must be ready to complete the course independently.
