The Run for JuJu Suicide Prevention Month 5k takes place in Fredericksburg on September 12, 2027, with the 5K Run/Walk (3.1 miles) starting at 9 a.m. It is held to raise awareness of mental health and suicide prevention, in memory of Jawuan JuJu Booker.

In an inclusive spirit, participants can run, walk, jog or bike along a scenic route, and each receives a personalized bib and a finisher medal. The event aims to break the silence around mental health and to support people in crisis through the Forsythe Foundation.
