Prospector's 50k | 30k

The Prospector's 50k | 30k in Cooke City, Montana, follows in the footsteps of the area's early explorers on August 7–8, 2027. An 80K (50 miles) and the 50K (32 miles) start at 7 a.m. on August 7, and the 30K (18.7 miles) at 8 a.m. on August 8. The 50K course runs between Silver Gate and Cooke City, with about 5,500 feet (1,676 m) of climbing on steep roads and remote trails.

The route passes old mining relics, including homesteads, equipment and back roads, with spectacular mountain views. The 30K covers much of the same rugged terrain. Each race is capped at 100 participants, with progressive cutoffs at every aid station within an overall 12-hour limit.
