About

The NLB Marathon de Ljubljana takes place in the Slovenian capital, with three distances on the programme: a 10 km race on 17 October 2026, followed by the half marathon and the marathon on 18 October. The start is near the National Theatre and the finish is on Congress Square, in front of the former provincial parliament building that now houses the University of Ljubljana.

The course is a flat loop through the city centre, well suited to fast times and personal bests, with around 159 metres of elevation gain on the marathon and 71 metres on the half marathon. A free 200-metre children's race is also held, opening the event to the whole family. The course records date from 2018 for men and 2023 for women, with times of around 2:05 and 2:21 respectively.
