About

The Triglav Trail Run is based in Lesce, Slovenia, with routes leading into the heart of Triglav National Park in the Julian Alps, on 21 August 2027. The flagship Triglav Trail Race, a 78 km ultra trail with 4,400 m of elevation gain, is limited to 150 runners because of the difficulty of the terrain.

  • Triglav Lakes Race: 44 km, 2,650 m of elevation gain
  • Vrata Valley Race: 26 km, 1,100 m of elevation gain
  • Slovenian Alpine Museum Run: 12 km, 460 m of elevation gain

The courses cross dizzying ridges, scree slopes and technical sections around Mount Triglav, Slovenia's highest peak at 2,864 metres and the symbol on the national flag. The route passes through Mojstrana, the Vrata Valley and the Peričnik waterfalls, and some sections can only be reached by helicopter in an emergency.
