The Postojna run offers trail and road races through the scenic countryside around Postojna on 22 August 2027, based at Veliki Otok: a 10 km (200 m of elevation gain) at 9am, a 5 km (140 m) at 9.15am and the 27 km Postojna trail (1,090 m) at 8am. The routes follow shepherds' paths, the historic Sovič hill, karst forests and the old town centre.

The courses include climbs to viewpoints such as St. Lovrenc and Špilnik, descents to local villages and sections passing caves and sinkholes, with feed stations along the way. Routes wind along forest trails, asphalt and gravel tracks and picturesque urban areas, and there are also dedicated children's races.
