About

The Go for Bo - Glow Sunset Run takes place in Fredericksburg on September 11, 2027, with a 5K and a 1-mile fun run held at Stafford Regional Airport. Both start in the early evening as the sun goes down: the 1 Mile Fun Run (1.6 km) at 6:05 p.m., followed by the 5K (3.1 miles) at 6:30 p.m.

Funds raised support children and families in Bo, Sierra Leone, through a partnership with Helping Children Worldwide and Ebenezer Church, focused on children's health, education and nutrition.

Two distances for two crowds: the mile lets kids and beginners cross a finish line without any special training, while the 5K gives regular runners a steady, sustained effort. The evening start simply means planning the day so as not to arrive on a full stomach or short on fluids.
