Genesis Battlegreen Run

Genesis Battlegreen Run takes place in Lexington, Massachusetts, on November 1, 2026, based at Lexington High School, with every event starting at 12:15 p.m. The lineup covers an (Almost) 10K measuring 6.1 miles, a 5K (3.1 miles) run, a 5K walk, and a 1.2-mile walk. A fixture of the New England road racing calendar since 1996, the event can be run in person or virtually, and entries and donations go straight to its charity partners.

Because the distances share a start, this is an easy day to bring a mixed-ability group: one of you can race the almost-10K while the rest walk. Virtual entrants get a personalized bib and a downloadable certificate, and virtual results are posted online. For the 6.1-mile option, four to six weeks of tempo work will have you comfortable holding a steady pace to the line.
