The Tough Ruck Boston 26.2 For The Fallen takes place in Concord, Massachusetts, in mid-April, and is a commemorative ruck march rather than a standard race. Service members, first responders and civilians march 26.2 miles with a loaded pack, starting at 7:00 AM, carrying the names of the fallen and raising funds for the families of military members and victims. The event is held in partnership with the Boston Marathon. Participants who finish receive an official Boston Marathon medal and are recognized by the Boston Athletic Association.
