The City to Sky Ultras trail race takes place near the university district of Missoula and takes in several mountain summits with significant elevation gain. The course explores open space and protected land that define Missoula's outdoor character, skirting the Pattee Creek watershed while keeping paved sections to a minimum. With distances of roughly 15.5 and 31 miles on offer, trail runners get the chance to test themselves on a route that highlights the city's urban open spaces and protected recreation areas close to home.
