About

The 9/11 Heroes Run - Quantico, VA takes place in Stafford, Virginia, on September 18, 2027, with a single 5K starting at 8:30 a.m. Runners, walkers and ruckers of all abilities are welcome, and participants in the GORUCK division cover the course carrying a weighted backpack before receiving a commemorative patch.

The event supports veterans, active-duty military, first responders and the families of the fallen. The short distance and morning start make it an easy outing to plan, including for groups. Runners chasing a 5K time will benefit from short interval sessions and a proper warm-up, since the distance comes down almost entirely to holding a fast pace from the gun. Walkers have a short loop with no reported difficulties.
