The 175-mile Pioneer Crossings Relay Race (PCR) is a 175-mile (281.6 km) road relay in Montana that starts in Twin Bridges and finishes in Virginia City. The 2027 edition starts on July 9 at 6:00 a.m.

The course is split into 36 legs with significant elevation gain. Teams of 12 runners are divided into two groups, with each runner covering three legs. As runners alternate between running and resting in vans, the race usually takes between 24 and 32 hours. An "ultra team" option lets six runners complete the course.

Along the way, participants explore Montana's scenic landscapes, including mountains and forests, while testing their endurance and relying on teamwork.
