Whiskey Run Augusta

The Whiskey Run Augusta takes place in North Augusta, South Carolina, in late May, with a half marathon (13.1 miles) starting at 7:00 a.m. and a 5K and a 10K starting at 8:00 a.m. It is aimed at both seasoned runners and enthusiastic amateurs who want a race that does not skimp on fun, with local tastings, whiskey samples and music after the finish.

The series has grown across the Southeast, with events planned in Atlanta, Nashville, Huntsville and Knoxville. It is organized by Run Rhino, a Chattanooga company known for unusual events such as the 7 Bridges Marathon, the Scenic City Mud Run, the Caffeine Run, the World Run and the Southeastern Santa Hustle series. Heat is a factor in late May, so the early half marathon start is welcome.
