North Augusta’s Hardest & Funnest Run

North Augusta’s Hardest & Funnest Run is held in North Augusta, South Carolina, on October 24, 2026. Three options all start at 9:00 a.m.: a 5k Run/Walk for solo entrants, a 5k Relay for teams of up to four, and a KIDS Run of about 1.2 kilometers, or three quarters of a mile.

The relay is the format worth noticing. Splitting 3.1 miles among as many as four people turns the race into a series of short, very fast legs, which is a different demand from running the whole thing yourself and a good way to bring in friends who would not enter a 5K alone. Solo runners get the standard test, and the 9:00 a.m. start allows breakfast, travel and a full warm-up without rushing. The children's run is short enough to need no preparation beyond enthusiasm.
