About

The MoonPie Move Augusta takes place in North Augusta, Georgia, in mid-March, with a half marathon (13.1 miles), a 10K (6.2 miles) and a 5K (3.1 miles) all starting at 8:00 a.m. The lineup includes a festive, beginner-friendly option, a midrange challenge and a scenic half marathon.

Each event pairs fitness with a playful theme, and all participants receive MoonPies and themed souvenirs. The race is organized by RunRhino, a company known for its original running events, and it welcomes a broad mix of runners and walkers, making it a community event with a sweet touch. The Augusta area warms up early in spring, so a mid-March morning may be cool at the start but pleasant by the finish; wear layers that can be stowed easily.
