The Wadi Rum Full Moon Desert Marathon takes place in Rum, Jordan, on 19 May 2027: a night-time endurance challenge in the famous rust-red “Valley of the Moon”. Runners choose between a 50 km ultra, a half marathon (21.1 km), a 10 km and a 5 km, all starting and finishing at the Hasan Zawaideh camp.

The 50 km and the half marathon set off at 19:30, the 10 km at 20:30 and the 5 km at 20:45, so every distance is run across magnificent desert terrain by moonlight. Feed stations, medical teams and safety patrols support runners along the route, which crosses landscapes so breathtaking that they have served as the backdrop for major films.
