Ultra X Jordanie

The Ultra X Jordanie (Ultra X Jordan) is a 220 km stage race held from 27 September to 1 October 2027 at Wadi Rum Village, in a desert famed as a location for the film Lawrence of Arabia and often compared to Martian or lunar landscapes. It totals 2,522 m of elevation gain and is part of the UTMB global circuit.

After arriving and settling in at base camp in the Wadi Rum desert, runners tackle five days of self-supported racing: 40 km (232 m of ascent) on day one through the desert and its rock formations, 39 km (548 m) on day two across soft sand dunes, 56 km (883 m) on day three in the Valley of the Moon with an early start, 47 km (468 m) on day four through a series of canyons, and finally 35 km (391 m) for the last stage to the finish.

A trip to Jordan can be extended with a visit to Amman and its ancient ruins (the Temple of Hercules, the Umayyad Palace and the Roman Theatre), a swim in the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth, and the ancient city of Petra, carved into the rock around 312 BC.
