About

Día de Muertos - Viva la Vida - 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon by Califlow Runs takes place in Long Beach, California, on November 1, 2026. The half marathon (13.1 miles) starts at 7 a.m., the 10K and the 5K at 8 a.m., and a one-mile run closes the morning at 8:45 a.m.

Built around Day of the Dead traditions, the event includes a costume contest, finisher medals, race-day photos and timed awards, with water stops, restrooms and stroller-friendly routes along the way. Beginners and experienced runners both fit here: the one-mile and the 5K make good first races, while the half rewards a 12-week build with a weekly long run reaching 11 miles. Because the theme carries the day, plan on running the half for the experience unless you are already deep into a training block.
