The Veins of Gold Mountain Race in Palmer, Alaska, is a demanding 8-mile (12.9 km) mountain run with about 5,000 feet (1,524 m) of elevation gain, starting at 9 a.m. on August 15, 2027. The terrain alternates steep trails, loose rock, shale and tundra, before a short paved section at the finish.

The Alaska Mountain Rescue Group, a volunteer team, is present on the course, supported by 10% of entry fees. Every finisher receives a medal, and the top finishers make the podium.
