About

The Up Around The Bend Trail Run takes place in Bend, Texas, in the second half of February, in Colorado Bend State Park. It offers a 52.4-mile ultra at 6:00 a.m., a marathon (26.2 miles) and a half marathon (13.1 miles) at 7:00 a.m., and a 10K (6.2 miles) at 8:00 a.m.

The park is known for waterfalls, creeks, rivers, springs and unusual natural formations, and the courses aim to give runners a challenging and scenic day on the trail. All runners receive promotional items, and shirts are offered to those who register before a set deadline. Medals go to finishers. Central Texas trails can be rocky and uneven, so shoes with a protective plate and good grip are worth considering, and carrying water is wise on the longer distances.
