TMC Arizona Distance Classic Half Marathon, Quarter Marathon and 5K

TMC Arizona Distance Classic is held in Oro Valley, Arizona, on March 7, 2027. The half marathon (13.1 miles) starts at 7:30 a.m., and the quarter marathon (about 6.5 miles) and the 5K run/walk both follow at 8:05 a.m. The staggered starts spread the field out over the first half hour of the morning.

This is road running, and the half is the reason most people enter, whether that means a first 13.1 or a spring personal best. The quarter marathon is a useful middle step if 13.1 is still ahead of you, and the 5K run/walk keeps the day open to everyone. For the half, a 12-week block with a long run building toward 11 miles and one weekly tempo will get you to the line ready to race rather than survive.
