The Caving Cow 5K and Half Marathon

The Caving Cow 5K and Half Marathon takes place in McMinnville, Tennessee, in mid-April, on the scenic trails of Cardwell Mountain. The half marathon (13.1 miles) starts at 7:00 AM, as does a road 5K of about 3.2 miles, and the Caving Cow 5K (3.1 miles) goes off at 7:15 AM. Routes include natural obstacles and changes in elevation, and the Caving Cow 5K features an out-and-back segment through the Cumberland caves, where runners use glow sticks. Each entry includes chip timing, aid stations, a race T-shirt and a goodie bag. The event pairs endurance sport with a taste of the area's nature and history.
