About

The Stayton Fun Run, a tradition since 1983, celebrates fitness on the Fourth of July in Stayton, Oregon. The program includes a 3K run, a 3K walk, a 5K trail run (3.1 miles) and a 10K trail run (6.2 miles), all starting at 9:00 a.m. on July 4, 2027, on a mix of pavement and off-road surfaces suited to competitive runners, recreational joggers and walkers alike.

The race is part of Stayton's Fourth of July festivities, which also feature parades, concerts, a variety show, games and fireworks. Participants can compete for the most patriotic outfit, and ribbons go to the top finishers in each age group. The event is based at the Stayton Community Center and makes for a great day out for the whole community.
