Silver Falls Trail Challenge

The Silver Falls Trail Challenge takes place in Sublimity, Oregon, in late February, in Silver Falls State Park, often called the crown jewel of Oregon's state parks. Starting from the South Falls Day Use Area, runners choose a quarter marathon of about 6.6 miles or a half marathon of 13.1 miles.

The trails lead behind waterfalls, through lush forest and along moss-covered canyon walls, showing the beauty and mystery of the Pacific Northwest. Late winter in the Oregon Cascade foothills is wet, so expect slick rock, mud and spray near the falls. Shoes with good traction and a waterproof layer are practical choices.
