Silverheels Trail Runs

The Silverheels Trail Runs take place in Fair Play, Colorado, on July 9–10, 2027, with distances from 10 miles to 100 miles, all at over 9,800 feet (3,000 m) of altitude. On July 9, the 100-mile (167.4 km, about 17,260 feet / 5,260 m of elevation gain) and the 100K start at 4:00 a.m., followed by the 50-mile at 9:00 a.m. On July 10, the 60K starts at 6:00 a.m., and the 19-mile and 10-mile at 8:00 a.m.

The courses mix singletrack, forest roads and dirt roads through alpine and subalpine meadows. Runners enjoy sweeping views over the South Park valley, pass ghost towns and abandoned mines, and run beneath the towering peaks of the "Decalibron." The routes also include the Gold Dust Trail, which winds through aspen groves, past mountain streams and historic mining sites, for a scenic and adventurous endurance challenge.
