About

Race of the Redeemed -Distinguished takes place in Fair Grove, Missouri, on October 9, 2027, with a 5K and a 1-mile (1.6 km) race starting together at 8 a.m.; the mile can be walked. The event brings together physical well-being and a spiritual dimension, and highlights the role of community support for people facing depression or anxiety.

The short formats make the event accessible: the mile suits walkers, families and anyone getting back into exercise, while the 5K is within reach of a casual runner after a few weeks of regular outings. For a first race, a sensible goal is to run the whole way without stopping rather than to aim for a time. An 8 a.m. start in October calls for a gradual warm-up, as joints and muscles respond poorly to the early-morning chill.
