About

The Frisco Railroad Run takes place in Willard, Missouri, in late April, on the Frisco Highline Trail, a National Recreation Trail since 2004 that links Springfield and Bolivar through the Ozarks. The trail is popular with cyclists, runners and walkers, has a gentle grade and crosses several railroad bridges. It is managed by Ozark Greenways, which benefits from the race's proceeds. The 50-mile race and 50K (31.1 miles) start at 6:00 AM, the marathon at 7:00 AM, the half marathon (13.1 miles) at 7:30 AM and the 8K (5.0 miles) at 7:45 AM. The early starts help the long-distance runners make the most of the daylight.
