About
Queen City Half Marathon takes place on July 24, 2027, in Marquette, Michigan. Two distances are offered: the half marathon (13.1 mi) and a 5K (3.1 mi), on an urban course. Start times are not listed in our records.
Marquette sits on the shore of Lake Superior, whose water stays cold all summer and keeps the town ten degrees below the rest of the Midwest in July — a genuine advantage for a half marathon at this time of year. The same lake produces wind on the exposed sections, so run those by effort and save your pushing for the streets behind the shoreline.
