About

The Sawmill Relay takes place in Mount Charleston, Nevada, in early June, on forest trails, as a solo or relay event. Distances run from a 5K and a 10K to a half marathon, a 19.2-mile 3-person team relay, a 31.2-mile solo ultra and a 38.5-mile solo race, up to the 57.5-mile course, which can be run solo or as a relay.

Elevation gain depends on the race: about 2,900 feet for the 31.2-mile ultra, about 5,700 feet for the 38.5-mile, about 3,300 feet for the 19.2-mile team race and about 9,700 feet for the 57.5-mile. Mount Charleston sits high above Las Vegas, so expect thinner air and cooler temperatures than in the valley. Start times were not available in the listing.
