About

The Labor of Love 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, Marathon and 50K takes place in the Las Vegas Valley, Nevada, in early March. The 50K (31.1 miles) and marathon (26.2 miles) start at 7:00 a.m., the half marathon (13.1 miles) at 7:30 a.m., and the 10K (6.2 miles) and 5K (3.1 miles) at 8:00 a.m.

Runners cross high desert terrain with Joshua trees and pinyon pines, in the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest, and the course winds through a canyon in the Spring Mountains National Recreation Area. The start and finish are at the junction of Lovell Canyon Road and Highway 160, about a 30-minute drive from the Las Vegas Strip, under a special permit. At this elevation, nights are cold and the air is thin and dry, so bring warm layers for the start and extra water.
