Panther Pumpkin Prowl takes place in Las Vegas, Nevada, on October 24, 2026, with a single 5K starting at 8 a.m. One distance, one wave, 3.1 miles: an efficient way to spend a Saturday morning and be home by mid-morning.

An 8 a.m. start means an early alarm if you want to do it properly. Most runners want about two hours between a light breakfast and a hard 5K, plus ten to fifteen minutes of easy jogging and a few strides right before the start. The distance is forgiving to train for, with six weeks of three or four runs a week being plenty, but it is unforgiving of pacing mistakes.
