The Rim to Rim Royal Gorge Races: 5K Road Run, Trail 8 Mile, Trail Half Marathon take place in Cañon City on October 2, 2027. The Trail Half Marathon (13.1 miles / 21.1 km) starts at 7:30 a.m., the 8 Mile Trail Run (12.9 km) at 8:00 a.m. and the 5K Road Run at 8:30 a.m., followed by a free kids' race at 10:00 a.m.

Every runner gets to enjoy crossing the famous Royal Gorge Bridge, surrounded by stunning Colorado scenery. The races benefit Starpoint, a nonprofit that supports people with cognitive and physical disabilities as well as children and families. Registration includes free park admission on race day, and well-behaved dogs are welcome. After the race, participants are encouraged to relax and take in the breathtaking views, knowing they have helped make a real difference.
