Victor Gold Rush Days Pack Burro Race

The Victor Gold Rush Days Pack Burro Race is an unusual race in Victor, Teller County, Colorado, held on July 18, 2027, in which participants run alongside a burro on a mountain course known as the Donkey Trail, about 6.8 miles (11 km) with about 1,100 feet (335 m) of elevation gain.

A tradition handed down from the Gold Rush era, the race requires runners to lead the animal without riding it for the entire course. A kids' activity is also offered. The event takes place in rocky, mid-elevation mountain terrain typical of Colorado, not far from Cripple Creek.
