Races for the Oasis 5K & Fun Run

Races for the Oasis 5K & Fun Run is held at The Urban Oasis, at the Maryland Zoo in Druid Hill Park, Baltimore, Maryland, on April 10, 2027. Two options start at 8:00 a.m.: a 5K Run/Walk (3.1 miles) and a 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk. The event is professionally timed, participants aged 14 and over receive a race shirt, and the first 250 registrants get free admission to the zoo.

The pairing of a timed 5K with a one-mile option makes this a straightforward family morning: adults can race 3.1 miles while children take the mile, and the zoo entry turns it into a longer outing. If you want to run the 5K hard, add one weekly session of faster repeats for three or four weeks and arrive early enough for a warm-up, since an 8:00 a.m. start comes around quickly.
