SocaRobics® Old Year’s Day Skeleton Crew Fun Run

SocaRobics® Old Year’s Day Skeleton Crew Fun Run takes place in Owings Mills, in Baltimore County, Maryland, on December 27, 2026. The single format covers 4.4 miles (7.1 kilometers) and starts at 9:00 a.m., following a scenic route around the Lakeside Loop with the gathering point at New Town Village. Skeleton costumes are encouraged, as are simply comfortable clothes, and snacks, refreshments, awards and giveaways follow the run.

Billed as a fun run, this is a distance to cover at a conversational effort rather than race flat out, and 4.4 miles is well within reach for anyone running a few times a week. If you want to make it useful training, run the first three miles easy and pick the pace up over the last mile and a half. Costume or not, wear shoes you have already put miles on.
