About

Pumpkin Holler Hunnerd takes place in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, on October 17, 2026. The 100-mile and 100K (62 miles) both start at 7 a.m., the 50K (31 miles) follows at 8 a.m., and the 25K and 10-mile races (16.1 km) go off together at 9 a.m. Five distances on one morning gives the event a wide range of entry points.

The shorter races make good targets for a road runner curious about ultras, and the staggered starts mean a family or training group can all run without splitting the weekend. Northeastern Oklahoma in mid-October is prime running weather, but a 100-mile still means a full night on your feet, a headlamp with spare batteries and a crew plan. If the 50K is your goal, sixteen weeks of consistent long runs on rolling ground will get you there comfortably.
