About

KROP - Kaizen Rite of Passage tests endurance and speed on the Welling Ridge trails near Tahlequah, Oklahoma, on September 25, 2027, with trail distances from a 4-miler up to a 65K (40 miles). It was launched as the Kaizen Running Club's first official chip-timed competition.

Every event uses the same scenic and varied 4-mile loop. The 65K (40 miles) and 50K (32 miles) ultras start at 6 a.m., the 25K (16 miles) at 8 a.m., and the 8-miler and 4-miler at 8:30 a.m. There is also a ruck relay for teams of four, starting at 8 a.m., with a maximum of 10 hours on course: team members take turns carrying a 20-pound pack or a weighted vest, and each person must register.
