Providence Monster Dash 5K

Providence Monster Dash 5K takes place in downtown Providence, Rhode Island, on October 25, 2026. The main 5K covers 3.1 miles and starts at 10:00 a.m., and the Kids Monster Dash, a 1K of roughly six tenths of a mile for children 12 and under, goes an hour earlier at 9:00.

Downtown streets and a flat-out 3.1 miles make this a reasonable place to chase a time, provided you are willing to run the first half mile under control while the field sorts itself out. Costumes are part of the day, with a contest recognizing the best individual and group efforts, and awards go to the leading finishers in each age group as well as to the best overall team. Bringing a team is worth considering: it changes a solo effort into a shared one and gives the slower runners in the group something to aim at.
