The Pink and Blue 5K Run/Walk for Breast Cancer in Middletown, Maryland, is a family event raising money for breast cancer research, awareness and care, with a special focus on male breast cancer awareness. On October 2, 2027, the Pink and Blue Survivors Walk starts at 8 a.m., followed by the 5K run at 8:15 a.m.
Although it accounts for less than 1% of breast cancer cases, male breast cancer has a higher mortality rate because of low public awareness. Proceeds go to the Hurwitz Breast Cancer Fund and the Male Breast Cancer Global Alliance, two organizations dedicated to finding treatments for all types of breast cancer.
