Frederick Running Festival is a spring running event in Frederick, Maryland, held May 1-2, 2027. The Twilight 5K starts Saturday at 5:00 p.m. and the half marathon (13.1 miles) Sunday at 7:00 a.m. Every race finishes on the historic track at the Great Frederick Fairgrounds, on a scenic course that shows off the area.
Two distances across two days give you a choice: race the 5K hard on Saturday evening, run the half on Sunday, or take both and treat the first as a warm-up. A track finish is a nice detail if you have anything left for a closing lap. For the half, plan on ten to twelve weeks of steady running with one long run each weekend and one tempo effort.
