OPEF Trick or Trot

OPEF Trick or Trot takes place in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, on October 29, 2026. Two formats start together at 4:30 p.m.: a 2 Mile and a 1 Mile, both short enough that the whole thing is over well before the evening gets away from you.

Short distances like these make the event unusually easy to enter as a family or as a group with mixed fitness levels. The 1 Mile is a genuine option for children and for adults who have not raced before, while the 2 Mile gives faster runners a chance to run hard without needing a training block behind them. If you do want to race it, a couple of weeks of short, fast repeats sharpen you plenty. Late-October afternoons in Wisconsin can be cold, so bring a layer for after the finish.
